song: Green and Grey -- in my head. The mandolin, and the voice singing softly...

Okay, so... except for the part where... I totally didn't do the work I meant to, today was an okay day. I have choir/musical/my gayboy with fluffy hair news later.  But...

I was having a good day, went insane and started reading the "Little Miss Mary" sporking (which was a bad idea), and somehow during the conversation with July ended up looking something else up.

And now I'm seriously about to break down crying.

Some of it was... eck, my bad. Majorly so. But... just...

I hope JK Rowling, as crap a writer as she can be, never sees the Pit of Voles and other places.  I am eternally glad the Great Professor never lived to see his genius desecrated by sick minds.

I feel physically ill.

(I refuse to create a "fandom: hp" tag. It isn't a fandom. End of story.)

AAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Okay, LG, I know you're not fond of paints.  So I'm sorry to spend this post squeeing over one. Although I have to say, I always did like mustangs. But that's probably because I think that's what one of the first horses I rode was. *Cuddles good ol' Apache and Maggie* He was so fast...  So was she (Maggie), but she was more fun than just fast. He was evil-minded and fast.  He scared me once by going into a gallop when he totally wasn't supposed to, and I was too ickle to handle... Nice, dappled grey mustang... Okay, done.

Anyway. OHMIGOD, HIDALGO. HIDALGO, HIDALGO, HIDALGO. SO FREAKING GOOD. AAAAH I LOVE THAT MOVIE. Okay, so it's not actually a fine piece of film.  There is a translation of this:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHILOVEVIGGOMORTENSEN.

I need Anti-Lustin. Badly. Badlybadlybadly. I want to glomp Frank Hopkins As Played By Viggo.  He's so... so NOBLE. AAAH.

....Excuse me. *Changes discs*

This message has been interrupted, as it has degenerated into incoherency.  We will return once Lee has finished with her regression into Fangirlitis. Sincerely, Agents Lucien, Kaden, and Kitty of the PPC--as Agent Robin is too busing bruising her head WITH Lee, albeit in a much louder way.

Sorry.  We have rope now. Carry on.

song: EEEEEEEH! VIGGO SPEAKING SPANISH!

Okay, so I was the loser sitting here writing stage!P&P-with-half-hispanic-Elisa Marina Bennet, and her mother Francesca Gutierrez Bennet. And the "Juanita, chica, tengo hablar con tigo! Donde estas! Tu mama esta llamando! Elisa, venga al telephono!" Yes, Hispanic Mrs. Bennet. Ph34r.

And I go in to mum's room.  And she shows me something.

An interview on spanish TV with an actor in a new movie that I think is in spanish.

And he is blond and rugged and speaks spanish BEAUTIFULLY and has this beautiful smile and his eyes crinkle when he smiles.

His name, btw, is Viggo Mortensen.

I am in love all over again. WHY IS HE SO AMAZING ZOMIGODAAAAAAH. I want him as a PB. For someone. But I don't know who.  'Cause... I've GOT my PB for my one blond guy, he's way too noble and debonair for the fire mage of Elemental!verse... I'm thinking permaybehaps Bren.  Viggo playing Bren.  ....Yummy....

I LOVE HIM!

EDIT: ...I knew I did something right. So very, very right.

Elisa Marina Bennet, right? Hispanic people all have like fifty names. (All the Bennet girls have another, I'm sure--I'll have to do that some time.)  And... well, mum's favorite was dropped by her mother (my fool grandmother) 'cause she was named for an aunt (father's sister) who my Abi hated. But it was my mom's favorite part of her name.

Marina.

I knew Elisa was my mum in disguise. Not me. Mummy. *Beam.*

song: Someone to Watch Over Me - Crazy for You/Another National Anthem - Assassins

Okay. So I was going to post my exuberance on Friday. I'll go back and edit that post and do the update on those coupla days in a little while. I haven't had the energy. It was a strange high. I promise I'll go back and write it up, though, because OH MY GOD MY CHOIR DIRECTOR IS FUCKING INSANE I LOVE HIM. *Giggles* Just... oh Scotty B.

But... uhm. Yesterday I had piano lesson--I LOVE Mozart, really I do. And love sightreading him, playing him, analyzing every chord as I go along that I can while still playing... aaaaah, music.  Anyway, then my Tessa came over and we watched Fruits Basket. It was lots of fun.  I love my Tessa. And I gave her the Audrey Hepburn book that I got that I didn't care for one way or another, but she LOVES Hepburn, so... she's happy. And that makes me happy. Even if we didn't get to see Golden Compass. Bah humbug.  Today, had rehearsal, forgot, was late, etc, bad day. Ugh.

Tyroshaun is incredibly good at the guilt complex thing. Lord, he'll find a way to blame himself for anything and everything.

... WARNING. This is a writing-filled post and there are five hundred tags because... well, yes. It's everything that's in here. And a summary of my mind at the moment, so it is necessary. For my record keeping. Skip ahead if you'd like.

Anyway. The other thing about yesterday... I rambled at/with LG, and WHOOT FOR WORLDBUILDING. Ohmigod, LG, you save my life.   Just... lord oh lord, you save my life. And I get to keep my other 'verse too now, despite Apocalypse!verse... which is what I'm calling that one, for the simple fact that... okay, I'll put that in below with my list of my private playground 'verses. So I've essentially got four 'verses right now, one on the front burner, one sort of... in the tea-kettle for sipping at, and two on the back burner.  One... based off an interesting fanfic idea I had that I may change so that I just have the epic sort of thing in that time period, so I'm not sure if I ought to count it as a verse or just a story. That's in the incubator.  And sort of in the pantry--not hot or cold and for snacking on, are my JA fanfic ideas.  Mostly P&P.  My Jeeves-JA mix, and my new theater!P&P fic.  (Come on, you all saw that coming--did you think I could resist the idea?)  I'm REALLY going to make Darcy blond in one of them. Just to break the paradigm. Not light blond, but... not blond. You can be broody without being dark-haired, dammit! I also do have a shortfic idea, for Sandman. *Grins* A Sweeney-Sandman story, actually. I mean... if Sweeney isn't a nightmare, than what is? Or it'll be a Corinthian-influencing-Benjamin-Barker/Sweeney-Todd.  But mainly I'd like to see Dream and Sweeney talking. *Grins*

...I love my head sometimes. *Grins* Now, the summary of the 'verses and the fics (and if you'd like any further information, please feel free to give me a nudge or ask for an email. ...why I'm offering, I don't know, as this is mostly for my own reference and mostly the five people who read this either A) already know, or B) will be told anyway by my rambling (sorry, LG-san), or C) won't be interested. I mean... the reason I keep this is mostly for my own memory, y'know? It's not like I have hordes of friends to keep up with... I never have. The ones I keep up with, I keep up with. I just need to write things out sometimes... anyway, still. If you'd like more info/the long and detailed plot explanation, let me know and I'll give it to you! Just be warned about the hours it'll need):

(...I don't know why I find the real world so damn boring. It's all about the high fantasy and the magic and occasionally the spaceships for me. It's odd. ...SPACESHIPS AHOY!)

So those are my seven (or nine... whoa, hey, my two favorite Significant Numbers!) ideas for writing lately. Sorry for the time I'm taking up, but I really, really needed to get that out. And it brought a smile to my face, which... I also desperately needed.  When I start singing from Assassins? Help is needed.

(With this analogy, you could say ideas seven and eight, the musicals, are the liquor cabinet: oh so enticing, out of bounds, and... ah, inducing giggles and insanity.)

...It occurs to me, now, that I HATE cooking and so maybe all those cooking analogies were singularly... bad.  Uhm. Usually I think of my head as a library, or a common room.  Or maybe a house.  A theater'd be a good analogy.  I'll... think of a better way of putting it.

Uhm. #1 is the big money high-class show (...Dunno, maybe a highly acclaimed Shakespeare or... dunno, Sweeney?), #2 the avant garde side gig (Mirrormask), #s 3 and 4 are scripts stuffed in a file drawer 'cause no one's bought 'em yet or in pre-production (Feeling Electric/whatever it's called now stupidheads), #s 5 and 6 are community theatre (my school's Crazy for You), #s 7 and 8 are The A Daily Show and The Colbert Report (bert/port, not bear/pore...), and #9 is that great idea about spaceships you had and haven't gotten around to dealing with.  To put it all in show-biz terms.

All I need to add to that is to have a #10 that was a long-running show that got cancelled. ...I wonder what some of those people who stuck around so long'll do...

...My first smile in a while. That felt good.

EDIT: ... Aaand "I Know The Truth" is on. And it's making me, like, want to go curl up and die.  Partly for me, partly because I've got a hysterically sobbing character on my hands and it's painful. ...No. that's not right. Not sobbing. Not hysterical. Just...... this spot where everything sort of... curls up on itself, into a singularity. It's like a... grey hole? Not as extreme as a black hole, but... lord. It's hard.

song: "We always worry about the people we love..."

I hate the south. Hush. Nothing specific, just... ignore the randomosity of the subject.

*Sniffles and touches a handkerchief to her eyes* Oh, knights. Noble-bred knights.  All the same, looks wise.  I love them, so much. So very, very much... Denerais has officially Made Me Sad. Bitter, wasted old man. And if only he had a pretty face...

...Okay, if he had a pretty face I'd be bawling right now, because he'd be the embodiement of what killing a hero young is useful for.  Just... oh dear. *Clings to Denerais* And he knows he's set in his ways and that it's bad, but he knows he can't change... *Wibblecling*

I also love Aderais, for being a crazy, stupid, hot-headed young knight. And not in the adorable cute good blockheaded way Cinaed is. Just... blockheaded. Itmakes him a little cute, but my god, he NEVER THINKS. Oh, Aderais...

Also... I was looking for a picture of a guy in armor, a specific one from way back when (speaking of...) and... stumbled across something I'd forgotten. And... *Sniff. Sniff* Just...

*Sighs and sniffles. And... cries. So much* I'd forgotten. I'd forgotten why I fell in love with the story in the first place.  Odd, in retrospect, how the gentleness came back. It got misplaced for a while.  One quote.  Just... two sentences, a few words, a few images and one sweet picture, and I remember why I loved it all so much. *Sighs* I'll... talk about it once Denerais and Aderais are dealt with.

EDIT: ...David Wenham and Bernard Hill. My mind is a sad, sad place.  ALL HAIL THE VALIANT KNIGHTS OF GONDOR AND THE BRAVE RIDERS OF ROHAN.

I fail.

song: Another Day -- Tim Howar (*wibcling!*)

So... totally made up half the answers on my math test today. *Snicker* Yay.

And I dunno if I'll be able to be online tonight... *Wibble* Although if I can't it may ensure actual productivity on my novel. (Still needs a name and something more than a first line...)

Also, MTAP will totally save my poor abused GPA.  Bwah.

So... I have to edit my essay this week, and get that done, and then start in on my supplement thingies.  ...Grrh. Why is it some of them gotta be mailed?! ARGH!

Anyways.  Also gots myself shtuff to start workin' on my PPCing.  Bwah.  Evil, evil fic.  It needs killing.  Although the agents are now wondering if there's some way to reforge them to get rid of the crappy decorations.  'Cause... ew.

Also, got distracted at lunch when looking for the magazine sponsor-teacher-guy 'cause there was a movie on in his room--and it was FotR. *Giggles* I had to stay to watch Galadriel go crazy.  I didn't much enjoy that scene, and she's one of my favourite characters.  Maybe it was just Frodo.  Ugh.

Also, Rent'll be in town in mid-November.  I don't know if I want to go or not.  Mom and dad probably won't even let me, as much as I've seen it lately... *Quietwibble* imisstimandiwishihadapicturewithadambutmainlyimisstim.  andhisprettyvoice.  andbearhugs.

now i wanna go cry... *sniff*

EDIT: ...EWEWEWEWEW. THEY WANT TWO ESSAYS ON TOP OF THE COMMON APP ONE?! Princeton, you're bloody insane. *Headdeskheaddesk* Gah. Why me?

song: Rainbow Sleeves - Julia Murney

Ignore the total illogic of the subject.

I forgot that I had a TOTAL geek-out moment in astronomy when we were looking at the giant radio telescope in Puerto Rico that was featured in Goldeneye. And someone was like "Oh, *blah blah blah* Sean Bean *blah blah*." My reaction: "....Wait, whatwhatwhat? *Eagerbunnybounce!* *Thinking: Boromir! Yay!*" I am an official Men of Middle Earth fangirl.  ...Men and Peredhil.  Not so much Elves. They're a little too... otherworldly. They're droolable, but not fangirling material for me.  *Giggle*

Anyway, on that note... claimed my first fic, and as soon as I've gotten my Prologue-to-PPCing chapter written (you'd think I'd write my novel first...) I'll ask permission and then start in on the stabbing.  Bwah.  Seriously, it's a doozy. Two 'Sues and... Gah. *Slams head against Rivendell column* I will need LOTS of Bleepka.  LOTS AND LOTS of it.  For you masochists who may or may not even read this, the badfic is here.

Sad truth: an agent's name, if translated into Elvish, might come out as Gil-galad.  Ooops. It's pretty, what can I say?  So I'm attempting to figure out how to say "person from a place." Crash course in Sindarin grammar, whoot.  Also, why can I not find a word for hawthorn in Sindarin? Grrh! *Done being a loser*

Bwah. Agents Robin and he who does not even deserve mentioning because he's an evil mastermind who needs to stop laughing are about to go steal many sharp pointies from stupid 'Sues.  Always good fun.

LANGUAGES! WHOOT!

October 3rd, 2007 (08:07 am)
geeky

weather: geeky
song: None. This needs to be remedied.

*Twitch* *Twitchtwitch*

The urge to become multilingual has hold of me.  Scottish Gaelic, as always, is near the top of the list.  But I am reminded of my long-lost urge to learn Quenya and Sindarian.  Mostly 'cause there's actually a Tengwar alphabet for Scottish Gaelic and come on what is more awesome and geeky than that?

Bwah. I really wanna learn Quenya and Sindarian now.  Not least to translate a name or four.  *Happyhum*

...Yo, people, didn't Feanor's name mean something about fire and birth or some such?  Ah, spirit of fire, yes.  ...Okay, there's clearly a reason I love that Elf.  Oh, Feanor. Why are you psychotic?

So I got out of math class. *Snicker* Which is good, 'cause otherwise I'd've had a quiz and I know none of what I was supposed to be learning.

I wonder if there's a Tengwar font anywhere? Best way for me to learn it is to just read in it.  Hmm...

So instead of working on physics I am sitting here researching Tolkien languages.

It's so much more fun.

Mr. Johnson my favorite computer guy ever is of the opinion that I need to write a forward in Elvish to my novel. The idea makes me laugh hysterically.

EDIT: Notes to self: Caladiand (I think--that or Caliand), Quenya form CalanorĂ©, or something like that.  Also I need to find out what hawthorne would be in Sindarian and Quenya.  Or robin.  *Giggles*

I'm having too much fun.

EDIT: ...Holy shit.  I just picked Calanor 'cause it looked the prettiest.  Sorta.  But... it means bright land, right?  *Twitch* Another possible form of it is Calaosta.

Shoot me now. That isn't allowed.  Really.  It's Tolkien. Messing with the Great Professor is Not Allowed

song: Fry and Laurie S1EP02

1) DO HOMEWORK FOR ONCE, idiot.  Namely, math and science.  Primarily.

2) Edit college essay, work on college application.

3) Actually structure the ISP outline in an organized fashion.  Gaspshockhorror.

4) Watch some light British comedy.  ...Or LotR.  While working. (Find Closer season finale.)

5) Actually eat.

6) Figure out the opening scene and write the damn thing.

7) Figure out how to be funny despite a fucking depressing plot.

I  wish I'd been around for the PPC stuff.  Just... damn, that shit's hilarious.

...Also, counselors and parents and teachers annoy me. *Rubs temple* ...No. Scratch that.  People annoy me.  Just about everyone.

song: Into the West a la Me With Mandolin

...is my loverly mandolin! Which I haven't really been practicing. Mrrh.

But! I played through Into the West with the chords. Figuring 'em out.  A to C is an easy change--makes sense, but yey.

*Happy!*

If I could only play the written accompaniment, it would sound so pretty...

EDIT: I have way too much fun with name etymology.  ...and Gaelic names for characters which I seem to have in abundance in fantasyland.  It's just so easy... and so purtiful... ...And while I totally chose some of them 'cause they were Gaelic, most I didn't. They just... worked out that way. *Irritated* Or had other such working-out-ness.  ...At least Tyroshaun's name is less... idiotic now.  *Grins* Bright land or land of light. Not bad as a meaning, eh? ...Not so much for a person, mebbe, but hey, Erin/Eirean means land/earth in Celtic, so... yes! (Although Eirian in welsh does mean bright. Hee. She's got the same name as her daddy. Innit that cute?)

EDIT THE SECOND: Oh lord. I just rambled on and on and on at poor Nightcandle from SotE.  And asked specific, random, hard, and totally arcane questions about magic. My head is a special, twisted place. *Hides* I'm gonna just go... y'know... pretend I don't exist for a while.
