Mark hides in his work

May 1st, 2008 (12:00 pm)
stressed

weather: stressed
song: Ugh...

Thing happened in my life. Slash things didn't, and I thought I'd be able to piece my life back together after the fucking paper was in. Hah.

To do May 1, necessary before sleeping:
- Astronomy homework, all fourthreetwo parts of it. Fuck it.
- Finish Imag Word layout with files from Meems.
- Study math.

To do May 1 if possible:
- Start/write English paper on PMS (Post-Modernist Shit).
- Start/write reflection for physics.
- Write a page, two if possible.

To do May 2 before school, necessary:
- Study math
- Go in early, finalize Imag.

To do May 2 before school if possible:
- Start/write paper on PMS.
- Start/write for physics.
- Write a page or two.

To do May 2 by 8th period:
- Write paper on PMS.
- Write for physics.

To do May 2nd by the time I sleep:
- have written at least two pages from what I have so far.
- Not die.

After that, I may breathe. And deal with life, social life, psychological health, and writing.  Lots of writing, worldbuilding, etc. LOTS of worldbuilding. I need to figure out the years on this planet of mine, so that I can figure out A) how "old" the characters are and B) ...uh... what the seasons are. 'Cause... binary star system.  I REALLY want there to be a winter, though.

I'd prefer more winter to more summer. But.

In good news, the ROCKERFELLER GRANDCHILDREN are fighting Exxon to move to renewable resources. HAH! ONE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!

EDIT: And while I have not actually managed to get anything done on astronomy since getting home, I am ALMOST done with Imag--but have made more work, idiot that I am--and have started the powerpoint for my ISP. Which... almost counts as writing. Depending on how far I get, I may count it.

furious

weather: furious
song: ...Yankee Doddle Boy, ironically.

I had a lot of these moments today. With "YOU FUCKING BASTARD(S)!"

On many levels. And discussions about war, which have left me somewhat prepared to write for once in my life.

At the moment, though:

Read it. I have no more words.

And they say that a hero could save us...

January 7th, 2008 (09:23 am)
song: Probst being a loser.

Okay. Two quotes.

One: Doc, to me, upon realizing I'm in the room and not knowing why I'm there: "...Not that I'm not happy to see you or anything, but... why are you here?"

Oh Doc.

Second: A conservative boy in the comp lab: "The US is, like, the only country that does follow the Geneva Convention. I mean, we let them pray five times a day, provide healthcare... Saudi Arabia doesn't let women drive!"

...Okay. A) Saudi's a US ally. That's not helping you.

B) ......Ignoring EVERYTHING else I could say, not least about the blatant violation of the constitution by this administration... I have one word for you, you conservative bastards.

Waterboarding.

That's all.

...In other news? I LOVE YOU TO DEATH, LG! YOU ARE MY HERO! ...And if I start swearing "Light and Life" at any time in the near future it's ENTIRELY your fault thank you very much. *SQUEEEEEEE* Yey for sociopolitical history. That's really about all.

EDIT: ...So... ah, took the Daemon test, nothing we didn't know: I'm sensitive, open with my friends, and incredibly introverted. Witness my astonishment. Seemingly I'm with the snowy animals.  Also? DOWNLOADS OF THE FIRST FOUR POWER RANGER EPISODES FOR IPOD! WHOOT! ...I'm a loser, shut up.

determined

weather: determined
song: Marriage of Figaro Act IV

The writers were just joined on strike.  Not... er, exactly, but another group just went on strike as well. That's what I mean.

The stage hands are on strike now. It's already shut down twenty eight shows.

And all anyone's saying is "*Whinewhinewhine* But I was going to go see this today!"

The fuck.

Go stage hands.  Strike. Be strong. Whoot.

...Gods, Amuricans annoy the fuck out of me.

Also, I need to figure out which icon to replace with a Strike icon.

I SAID ELIZEBETHAN!

November 2nd, 2007 (09:02 am)
amused

weather: amused
song: O Come, O Come Emmanuel - Carols for a Cure

*Giggle!*

Witness the fruits of my labor for English class: A poem in the Calvin Trillin style (which I hate, but hey, it's almost funny!) on the G.O.P push to reform California's electoral votes.

Two-thousand-eight is quickly drawing near,
And when the G.O.P realized the end,
Approaching with the next election year,
Was nigh, to try to stop an eight year trend
(As no one can deny approval’s low)
They moved to rock the electoral boat,
The Democratic rule—oh, such a blow—
They tried to block by changing every vote
In California. Instead of all-
For-one, they said, “Give two more to
The one who won; as for the rest, just call
Them district-ly.” Had funds come in anew,
The courts, however, would not have agreed
To satisfy the party’s desperate need.

*Beamity* Bwah.  And then this weekend... paper for English and another... six thousand words. *Happyhum*

blank

weather: blank
song: Drum corps outside, Lynne Cheney and Jon on comp.

So... National Coming Out Day was yesterday.  Apparently.  For... the people who either aren't on Aubrey's flist (or can't log in--love you Jen!), I'm going to edit what I said a little, partly also 'cause I'd like to have a record.

*Sigh* So I feel kinda good about that.  Anyway.

Also. Yeah.  Didn't make a deal this year about things, but it's one of my least favorite days coming up.

Going to a party next Saturday, costume theme of "undead or supernatural."  Going as Death, probably.

Had something else to say. Don't remember what it is. I'll think of it.

aggravated

weather: aggravated
song: Some odd music someone's playing

....Fuck The Guardian's website. I can't get to the most recent article on the Scottish elections.

This is like a hugely important election, and could lead to an independent, more left-leaning Scotland.  And I can't get the latest news.

Agh!

...Yes, I am following the Scottish elections. I'm not insane. I swear.

EDIT: ...Oh. The url is just fucked up. I got to it.  Everyone's complaining--both sides, even. *Amused* Hopefully they'll get it sorted out, and with any luck the SNP will get a bigger lead on the Labour party than they currently have. ...And hopefully it won't randomly help the Tories.

SNP for the win. Really.
